Submitting Your Application
Your first step to enrollment is applying for Undergraduate Admission via the UA Undergraduate App.
The application for admission also includes the scholarship application for automatic merit scholarships and many competitive scholarships. All required supplemental documents must be submitted to complete your applications. Find out more under the Transfer section on how to apply.

Steps to Enrollment
Summer or Fall 2025 Semester Steps to Enrollment
Transfer students applying for summer or fall 2025 should follow these steps to complete enrollment at The University of Alabama.
Apply for Undergraduate Admission
Be mindful of the admissions and scholarships deadlines for your term.
- March 3 is the priority deadline for automatic merit scholarships and competitive scholarships.
- Includes additional scholarships applied for through the Alabama Scholarship Award Manager (ASAM).
- May 1 is the final deadline for automatic merit scholarships and competitive scholarships for admitted students.

Submit Your Transcript
Official transcripts are those submitted directly to UA in a sealed envelope by the originating institution. Official electronic transcripts are those submitted directly to UA by the originating institution, normally through a third-party provider such as the National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment. UA will only accept a transcript directly from the student provided it is delivered in the envelope sealed by the originating institution and marked as official.
Official transcripts being sent via regular mail should be sent to the following mailing address:

In cases where an email address is needed for electronic delivery, the transcript should be sent to transfercredit@ua.edu.
Bama Bound Orientation
Registration for Bama Bound, UA’s new student orientation, opens in early February. Bama Bound includes a visit with your college or school to learn about different opportunities to be involved in your major and to meet with an advisor to register for your courses.
Secure Housing
Unlike incoming freshmen, transfer students are not required to live on-campus at UA. Transfer students are able to apply for housing as space allows. For those who would like to live off-campus, there are numerous student-focused apartment complexes and rental houses available in Tuscaloosa.
Immunizations
Submit the Medical History Form and Proof of Immunization to the Student Health Center immediately upon admission to UA.
