Steps to Enrollment

Step 1 – Apply for Undergraduate Admission

The first step of your journey toward becoming a legend is to submit your application for admission. UA’s application is straight-forward and easy to fill out; however, there are some documents required before you make your final submission. UA has incorporated the scholarship application into the application for admission, and students who complete an application for admission and submit all supporting documentation by January 15 will be considered for competitive scholarships. Find out more about how to apply.

Step 2 – Apply for Gift and Endowed Fund Scholarships

To streamline the application process for students, the scholarship application is now part of your application for admission in the Spring, Summer and Fall 2023 Semesters. Students who are admitted without test scores will be considered for competitive scholarships. Automatic merit scholarships will require a qualifying test score. After you are admitted to UA, you will have the option to complete the Freshman Supplemental Scholarship Application..

Step 3 – Complete the FAFSA

UA priority date to apply for federal student aid is December 1. To qualify for student aid, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid and submit any required documents to Student Financial Aid. International students might qualify for federal student aid, visit StudentAid.gov for more information.

Step 4 – Freshman Enrollment Deposit

Save your spot in the incoming class by submitting your $200 nonrefundable Freshman Enrollment Deposit. This deposit will be applied towards your first semester’s tuition at UA and must be paid before you can apply for housing or register for Bama Bound orientation.

Step 5 – Housing Application

Is room selection important to you? Complete your housing application by February 1 to participate in room selection. Students who complete their application after this priority date will be assigned a room. There is a $175 housing application fee and prepayment to Housing and Residential Communities.

Step 6 – Orientation

Register for Bama Bound, UA’s new student orientation. Registration opens in early February. Bama Bound includes a visit with your college or school to learn about different opportunities to be involved in your major and to meet with an adviser to register for your courses.

Step 7 – Immunizations

Submit the Medical History Form and Proof of Immunization to the Student Health Center immediately upon admission to UA.
